The Better Living Service is involved in a project as part of the national Get Britain Working initiative.
Our part is to support people who are in work, but off sick due to musculoskeletal or mental health issues. We will work to improve their health, fitness and well-being to help them to return to work.
Please note: To access the service, you must be referred by your employer, occupational health team or GP/Practice Nurse.
This is a 12 month pilot via the Better Living Service and wider Sports service. Both via our fitness centres and out in the community.
Support we will offer:
- guidance to use the gym, pool and fitness classes;
- and to attend local community classes and walks.
Our trainers will provide the encouragement, motivation and advice to help you begin your health and fitness journey. They will guide you along the way. By the end of your sessions with us, you will have a plan to continue in the long-term.
