If documents are needed for your application, select 'Upload supporting documents'.
On screen, you will see guidance on:
- How to do upload files;
- and file type/size that is accepted.
To upload a document:
- Select 'Add document' and select the document type you wish to add, such as your V5 Registration Document.
- Locate and select the required file/document(s) you wish to add from your device/computer.
Note: If you use a mobile or tablet, you can take a photo of your documents instead of uploading them.
- Select 'Add'.
- Repeat this process for each document.
Note: For Resident permits, you must upload one proof of vehicle ownership in all cases.
Proof of residency is only required if you answered 'no' to the question requesting authorisation to check electoral role.
- Once you have added all the necessary documents, select 'Upload documents'.
If no documents are needed for your permit:
- You should either 'add to basket' or make payment. (We recommend 'add to basket' if you want more than one permit, so you can pay for them together.)
- Once your supporting documents have been checked, you will receive an email confirming the permit has been authorised and offered to you. At this point, you will then be guided to the same payment screen.
