Calderdale is being transformed
The West Yorkshire Combined Authority's Transport Fund has been part-funded through the Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership (LEP) Growth Deal.
A £1 billion package of Government funding to drive growth and job creation across the Leeds City Region.
The aim is to create around 20,000 new jobs and add £2.4 billion a year to the economy by the mid-2030s.
Major transport improvements in Calderdale include:
- A629 Salterhebble to Shaw Hill (Phase 1a).
- A629 Calder and Hebble Junction (Phase 1b).
- A629 Halifax Town Centre (Phase 2).
- A629 Halifax to Huddersfield (Phase 4).
- A629 Ainley Top to Huddersfield (Phase 5 - Kirklees led).
- Halifax rail station.
- Elland rail station.
- A641 Bradford - Brighouse - Huddersfield.
