Open Minds
The Open Minds website was created after consultation with children, young people, parents, carers, schools and professionals.
It has a wealth of advice, information, support and signposting to local and national services. This aims to help children and young people with their emotional health and wellbeing.

Calderdale Local Transformation Plan (LTP)
This looks holistically at emotional health and wellbeing for children and young people. It sets out our response to the Future in Mind 49 recommendations:
A range of needs and issues have been discussed and addressed within the plan with partners like:
- young people;
- parents;
- teachers;
- frontline practitioners;
- and the voluntary sector.
The plan is implemented by the Emotional Health and Wellbeing Taskforce. This multi-agency partnership is committed to improving services for children and young people.
What does the plan include?
From 2015 to 2020 there was progress towards achieving transformation for services in Calderdale. This was through the delivery of the LTP priorities.
Services are now more joined up. They work in partnership to make sure that support is more holistic and focused on needs.
Calderdale's refreshed LTP stays true to the original vision. This was to:
- develop a system without tiers;
- and create a variety of provision that offers choice and control in how children and young people access support.
We are proud of our many achievements to date. However, we know we still have a lot of work to do to fulfil our ambitions for 2021.

Electronic Health Needs Assessment (eHNA)
This survey gives an overview of Calderdale. It helps us to get and deliver future services.
It gives young people in years 5, 6, 7 and 10 the chance to have their say. This is on topics and issues they face in everyday life.

Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA)
This is an essential tool that helps to inform the priorities and targets set by local area agreements.
It helps with service planning and leads to agreed priorities designed to improve outcomes and reduce inequalities locally.
