The team offers 'Return Home Conversations' to any child or young person that has been reported missing.
Their purpose is:
- to understand the child's experience of the missing episode;
- explore what led to the incident;
- and provide them with a safe space and the chance to be heard.
Our Officers understand that these are sensitive and difficult conversations and they will:
- Prioritise the safety and well-being of the young person above all else.
- Support the young person and family to develop a safety plan.
- Help identify any more support services that may be needed.
Do you have a concern about a young person? As a parent, do you want advice on preventive measures you can take? If so, please contact us:
