This permit allows residents to access a road where a School Street restriction is in place:

Eligibility

Criteria

  • You live on a road/street where restrictions apply;
  • and you need access during closure times.

You may be asked to show us:

Permit duration

How to apply

Change vehicle

You must:

  • Update your vehicle details via your permit account.
  • Return your permit to: Parking Services, PO Box 51, Halifax, HX1 1TP.

When we get your permit, we will process another one and post it to your account address.

  2. The permit must only be used by:
    • Vehicles registered to the eligible property;
    • and where the registered keeper is also a resident at the property.
  3. The permit must always be clearly displayed in a vehicle within the School Street restriction. (To be verified by the Police, if need be.)
  4. The permit cannot be used to:
    • Park on the school keep clear markings;
    • yellow lines;
    • or in Resident Permit Zones without a valid Resident Parking Permit.
  5. If you change your vehicle, you must:
    • Update your vehicle details via the online permit portal.
    • Return your paper permit to Parking Services, PO Box 51, Halifax. HX1 1TP.
    • Upon receipt of your permit a new permit will be processed and posted to your account address.
